747-8 freighter

Today I am looking across the ramp at the new 747-8. The new airplane is noticably different with the new engines and bigger wing and tThere is also a 20' longer fuselage. I not sure when it will start flight ops, more than likely after the first of the year.

Robin
I believe that these are the GE Nexgen. These are much bigger than the original CF6, PW4000 and RB211 engines. The wing has been modified to handle the extra engine thrust. I will get the actual figures and post them soon.
