Thanks for the info. I don't have a J79 FCU test bench as per sae, but it wouldn't take much to adapt my hydraulics test bench with a VFD drive to wring one out.
Sure, I have lots of spare outer combustor cases. Never seen one fail. Seen the inner liner fail once though. It let the first stage nozzle walk into the blading.

The inlet "cone" on the Kfir is moveable, to accomodate high speed flight. On the 104's though it is fixed. It anyone really gets serious, we may have to consider moving the "fixed" cone on the 104 closer to the inlet, to amount to a pressure drop in the inlet duct.

So many projects, so little time. (And money.)

We're running a Rolls Royce Olympus tomorrow on the cell. Should move LOTS of air. (edit; it did, the ground shook quite nicely. Robin) You can come up any time and join in. Just bring your coveralls. (And thermal underwear.)
