747 and 767 use this engine on all current configuration leaving Boeing (Everett). This engine is very realiable and does not have really bad operational problems. We did have some issues with the fan blades, the mid span dove tails had some wear issues. I am happy to report nothing serious has happened to these engines here.

Good flight engine, ok industrial unit. (LM6000) Not great, just ok. In the 1960's, what made a great flight engine also made for a great Marine/Industrial engine. Since then the two engine lines have diverged and what now makes a great flight engine, works against being a great Marine/Industrial. And don't even get me started on the F404/LM1600 fiasco!
