This APU unit is fitted for the 757/767 aircraft. Very good power unit and very few troubles. Does not like to start up in flight (after long cold soak) on the first try. That is why they made the outboard motor called the R.A.T.(ram air turbine). I have heard of two time when the airplane ran out of fuel to keep the engines turning, and the pilots got the apu up and running long enough to get the airplane on the ground. The engines use 40gpm each and the apu uses 5-7gpm. We test our jet at Boeing to operate with low fuel.
